The Oktyabrsky District Court of Kharkov granted the motion of the defense of Ignat Kromsky ("Topaz") ??to revise the terms of detention in accordance with the "Savchenko law" and released him. This was confirmed by one of his lawyers, Dmitry Gorshkolepov, writes MediaPort in his Telegram channel.

"In accordance with this law, if you count all the time correctly, he has already sat out for more than 8 years. The Oktyabrsky district court examined, took into account all the arguments of the defense and counted the terms. Decision on immediate release from custody ", - said the lawyer.

According to Gorshcholektova, Kromskoy is going to the SIZO where the documents will be drawn up, “he will be home in the evening”.

As reported, Kharkiv Ignat Kromskoy was a participant in the protection of Antimaydan in the Mariinsky Park in Kiev. Became known by the callsign "Topaz" after the appearance on the Internet of a video taken in the camp "Antimaydana". Shooting ends after the author’s videos are attacked by “titushki” and several times he calls for help to Kromsky who accompanies him: “Topaz, give the command!”.

Kromskoy was detained on March 28, 2014 within the framework of criminal proceedings opened on the fact of the storming of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration on March 1.

March 29, 2014, the Leninsky District Court of Kharkiv chose him a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest.

April 7, 2014 Kromskoy fled from house arrest.

On April 25, members of the Security Service of Ukraine detained Kromsky during a meeting with journalists of the Russian channel LifeNews.

On April 26, 2014, the Kiev District Court of Kharkiv made a decision on the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention without the possibility of making bail until May 28. Later, the terms of detention were repeatedly extended..

September 9, 2014 in the Kiev Regional Court of Kharkov held a preliminary hearing on the case against Cromsky, who is accused of h. 1.2 st. 294 (riots), h. 2 items. 289 (illegal possession of a vehicle) and h. 2 items. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court refused to soften the measure of restraint to the accused and extended the arrest for another 60 days.



On September 12, 2014, the Kiev District Court of Kharkov changed the Kromsky preventive measure to a personal obligation and returned the indictment to the prosecutor's office.

On October 3, 2014, the indictment against Kromsky was repeatedly sent to the Kiev District Court of Kharkov.

On December 18, 2014, the Kiev District Court of Kharkiv, at the request of the prosecutor's office, changed the measure of restraint on Kromsky for detention without the possibility of bail.

In the end, Kromsky was given 8 years in prison.
