The State Border Service of Ukraine continues the active phase of the complex exercises "Western Fortress-2018", which began on September 19, 2018 on the western stretch of the state border.

As part of these exercises, classes are provided at the training center of the State Border Service, as well as practical classes at checkpoints and on the sections of the state border, the press service of the ministry notes..

Within three days, servicemen honed their skills and improved their skills. During theoretical studies, the issues of the psychology of the behavior of offenders and the legal aspects of the activities of border guards during the execution of tasks in the reserve.

In practice, border guards have worked out the procedure for actions in the event of a change in the situation on the state border and in the event of unusual situations at checkpoints. Also, special attention was paid to training in tactical medicine, providing home health care in extreme conditions.

It should be noted that the comprehensive exercise "Western Fortress-2018" is aimed at checking the combat readiness of units, their coordination and working out various scenarios for responding to unusual situations on the state border of Ukraine.
