Traditionally, the main volumes were exported to the EU countries, which totaled 81% of gross shipments compared to 92% in 2016/17 MY. At the same time, the share of exports to other regions increased: South Asia - from 3% to 12%, the Middle East - from 4.5% to 6%.
In physical terms, the EU delivered 1.72 million. tons (+ 80% of the previous season). The main countries-buyers were the Netherlands (+4.3 times), Germany (+3.2 times), Belgium (+ 2.1 times), France (-40%), Portugal (-3%) and Poland (-3 times).
