The European Court of Human Rights made a decision on interim measures against the illegal convicted Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who is starving to release all Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. This is reported in a press release of the court, which quotes 112.
"The court decides on an interim measure of medical assistance for Oleg Sentsov and calls on him to stop the hunger strike," the message says..
The court called on Russia to grant Sentsov appropriate treatment, and the director himself was asked to take the medicine for the sake of saving his life.
It is noted that, according to paragraph 39 of the Court's provision, the ECtHR has the right to indicate to any signatory state of the European Convention on Human Rights for provisional measures that must be implemented without delay.
Temporary measures are appointed in a situation where there is a threat of irreparable harm.
