The Canadian government has added Ukraine to the list of countries to which Canada sells lethal weapons without intermediaries. This allowed the Ukrainian military to sign an agreement with a Canadian arms manufacturer on the supply of sniper rifles.
This was reported by UATV People's Deputy of the Conservative Party of Canada James Bezan.
Deliveries will take place on a commercial basis. James Bezan noted that the government can veto and not allow the export of weapons. However, after signing the agreement and enrolling Ukraine on the list, Canadian Foreign Minister Freeland will sign an export permit.
The MP noted that in Canada there are other manufacturers of equipment and weapons, for example, machine guns and light armored vehicles. They are ready to cooperate with the Ukrainian military.
