The European Court of Human Rights has requested detailed information from the Russian government on the health of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov. This in his Telegram said the head of the international human rights group "Agora" Pavel Chikov, reports UNN.

"The court requested information from the Government of Russia on compliance with the applicant's requirements under Articles 2, 3 and 5 of the Convention in connection with his hunger strike.

In essence, this means that the authorities are obliged not to allow Sentsov's death (positive obligations of the right to life), but also not have the right to use methods of forced feeding (negative obligations to prohibit torture). The court also requests detailed information about the current state of health of Oleg Sentsov, along with medical documentation, until June 27, "said Chikov.

Also, the Court proposed Sentsov to stop the hunger strike. In addition, the ECHR was reminded that the Sentsov case was given priority on July 8, 2014.
