Leaders of the G-7 countries declared support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders This is stated in a joint communique issued following the G7 summit in Canada.

"We reiterate our condemnation of the illegal annexation of the Crimea and reaffirm our continued support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

We maintain our readiness to help Ukraine in implementing its ambitious and necessary reform program, "the document cites espreso. tv.

"We recall that the extension of sanctions is clearly connected with the fact that Russia has not demonstrated full compliance with its commitments in Minsk agreements and respect for Ukraine's sovereignty, and we fully support efforts within the framework of the" Norman format "and the OSCE to resolve the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

If our actions demand it, we are ready to introduce additional restrictive measures to increase the price that the Russian Federation pays for its actions, "the G7 leaders said..

In addition, the G-7 urged Russia to "stop destabilizing actions to undermine democratic systems and curtail support for the Syrian regime".

At the same time, G7 agreed to "continue to involve the Russian Federation in resolving regional crises and global challenges".

"We will continue to support the civil society of Russia and develop interpersonal relations," the communique says..
