The formation of the new Italian government once again reminded Europeans of the danger of populism. Now, however, among the Europeans there were also Ukrainians - after all the program of the new government of Italy provides refusal of sanctions against Russia. But understanding that populist forces can act without realizing the consequences of their promises will not prevent Ukrainians from voting for their own populists in the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2019.
If anyone is interested in surviving the catastrophe that our country can expect - well, at the same time to be convinced of the incompetence and falsity of populist rule - let him follow Italy.
The very fact of the formation of a coalition between the left "Movement of 5 stars" and the right "League" is already nonsense. Populists deceived their voters, because they promised never to enter into an alliance with each other. And in these promises was the logic. The "5-star movement" is an anti-system party created by the local Zelensky, rather a cabaret, rather than a party that resented all Italian politics.
"League" - part of the system created by the local oligarch Silvio Berlusconi after the collapse of the post-war republic, which could not stand the pressure of anti-corruption investigations. Moreover, the League was recently called the "League of the North" and called for the separation of northern Italy from the south. All its leaders are convinced separatists, but today they vote for them more in the very south, from which they so wanted to secede.
Unites comedians and separatists only one thing - absolute irresponsibility. They promise their voters different nonsense - if only he voted for them. Only they do not have the money to fulfill promises.
And this is the biggest problem of their political survival. That's why they want to lift sanctions against Russia - because they hope that the refusal of sanctions and anti-sanction will bring some money to the treasury. That is why today experts are recommended to the new government, far from both movements - then to blame them for failing to fulfill their stupid promises.
And something like this can happen soon and with us. We are sure that the Ukrainian populists in embroideries will not join the pro-Russian forces. Do not doubt, they will go. For the sake of peace, stability and well-being of Ukrainians - and to the applause of their electorate. And in the pure Ukrainian language will proclaim pro-Russian slogans - just to be in power, it does not matter with whom, Boyko, Levochkin, Shufrych or Medvedchuk.
We believe that honest professionals will not serve the half-sheet - do not hesitate, they will go. For the sake of preserving posts, satisfaction of ambition and in general for the welfare of the state.
But the most interesting will begin later. We have already experienced the success in the elections in Greece populists from the party SYRIZA. But the lack of money turned Cipras and his team into system players who no longer put the stick in the wheels of a single Europe. By the way, who forgot: Greek power is also an alliance of left and right populists.
Italian populists will also have to go through a school of European education. They either lose power, or deceive their naive voters.
The same deceit awaits those Ukrainians who vote for irresponsible populist forces. With only one difference.
Our populists have a choice. They can capitulate to Europe and the United States, and maybe - to Russia. After all, a populist - a cunning but stupid, consequences of his actions, he does not understand, to the country is indifferent.
Italian voter will pay for idiotic voting with money and prospects. Ukrainian can pay with life and the state.
