In the Russian Federation they refused to put the artist Denis Lopatin for daring to draw this caricature:.

Today it became known that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation refused to bring a criminal case against Lopatin for a caricature of State Duma deputy Natalia Poklonskaya - a stylized icon on which she holds a dildo in the form of a bust of Emperor Nicholas II.

The artist painted a caricature as a poster for a rally in defense of Alexei Uchitel's film "Matilda". The action was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on October 13, 2017. In the future, the work was exhibited at the local art center "Garage".

In the same month, two residents of the capital of the Kamchatka Territory filed reports against Lopatin to the prosecutor's office, the police and the RAC. Sample text denunciation of the artist was distributed in social networks.

"From my acquaintances I received a photo of the work from the opening of the exhibition, exhibited in a separate room, which depicts Poklonskaya H. , in whose hand the dildo in the form of Tsar Nicholas II Romanov, - was said in the denunciation. - I consider this cartoon work blasphemous and blasphemous in its essence.

The semantic and visual message of this "work" deeply offends the feelings of believing Orthodox Christians, children of the Russian Orthodox Church, worshiping in the face of the Saints Sovereign Nicholas II ". The scammers demanded to attract Lopatin and the art center administration for articles 148 (insulting the feelings of believers) and 282 (inciting hatred or enmity) of the Criminal Code.

The artist himself explained that he was not going to insult anyone, and in his work "people are ridiculed who are trying to pass off their unspent sexual energy for spirituality". Lopatin promised to file counter-statements about deliberately false denunciation.
