Broadcasting company STV from Severodonetsk fined for violating language quotas

The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting fined the radio station "STV" due to non-compliance in the air quotas for programs in Ukrainian, the press service of the regulator reported today..

"A company from the Lugansk region is fined for non-fulfillment of the language quota in broadcasting broadcasting ... The licensee of" STV "does not comply with the requirements of the law, since in his speech the daily volume of transmission in the state language was only 46.5%, while by law he should be at least 55%, "- said in a statement.

According to the regulator, the company must pay a fine of 5% of the license fee - more than 4.8 thousand hryvnia.
