US President Donald Trump announced that Washington is withdrawing from the agreement on Iran's nuclear program concluded in 2015. On Tuesday, May 8, he signed an appropriate memorandum in the White House.

Trump called the agreement with Iran in its current form unacceptable, noting that it allows the possibility of deception on the part of Tehran, which can continue enriching uranium. The president accused the Iranian regime of supporting terrorism and the desire to create "the most dangerous weapon" - nuclear.

Earlier, the head of the White House repeatedly called the agreement "the worst deal of all time".

A joint comprehensive plan of action (JFAP) was signed between Iran and six countries - the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany - in 2015, during the presidency of Barack Obama.

Unlike Trump, the European participants in the accords with Tehran regard them as a major diplomatic success, which made it possible to limit Iran's nuclear program in exchange for weakening international sanctions. Therefore, the Europeans tried to prevent the US from breaking the agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

The time limit set by Trump for taking a decision on the international agreement expires on May 12. However, on May 7, the US president suddenly announced that he would not wait for this date and announce his decision on May 8.
