Shenderovich: Putin is ready for anything

The novelty of the last protest against Putin is not in the tough police cleansing of the protesters (this happened many times during Putin, for the first time, I recall, in 2006, on the March of the Dissenters). Novelty - in the so-called "Cossacks" who beat the demonstrators with whips under the cover of cops. It was the "cops", of course, - because any police would immediately detain them, applying specifically to the Nodovists that determination and strength that they generously demonstrated on peaceful people, wrote in Facebook the Russian writer-satirist, television and radio presenter Viktor Shenderovich.

The police, as is known, is called to protect the law, as is known, they serve bandits (feel, finally, the difference). Along with the NODs, the cops decided for the Putin regime the old task of intimidating the society, but already at a new level. Podonkam, known attacks on democratic activists, was given a clear carte blanche for mass street violence. These are state, official scum, and not just a group of aggressive mummers, and this must be understood quite clearly.

It is equally clear to understand what exactly is behind the readiness of the authorities to uncover this resource. The incitement of one part of society to another means that the authorities are considering - and are already testing! - Civil war as an instrument for political manipulation. And this is very, very serious.

This nasty joker lies in the sleeve of any authoritarian power: to arrange some dangerous rascal to come out later with a stern face and roll everything under the asphalt in general, in the interests of public security, of course. From this place of my reasoning one can at once send greetings and killing Kirov, and setting fire to the Reichstag, and blown up houses on the Kashirskoye highway. Not to democratic procedures, comrades, the country is in danger!.

Putin has nowhere to go, and feel embarrassed by him (at least after the last inauguration), nothing. He will not leave power, and he is too late to drink democratic Borzhomi. No, the most criminal and mortally dangerous for Russia resource does not seem to this person superfluous, when the stake will be the preservation of personal power. He is preparing for different options and, in a sense, has long been ready for anything.

This, too, must be understood quite firmly.

To those who think that I am too pessimistic, I highly recommend that I reread my forecasts for the future given in the days of early Putin and compare these forecasts with both today's reality and with my past feelings from the young shy leader of the new Russia.

Today, the portrait of this handsome Dorian is already, it seems, exhibited by history for everyone to see, and you have to squeeze your eyes tight so as not to see him.
