Bulgaria decided not to expel Russian diplomats in connection with the poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripaly and returns his ambassador to Russia, previously summoned to Sofia for consultations.
This decision was made at a meeting in Sofia of the Security Council under the Government of Bulgaria, according to Ukrinform.
As noted by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, at a meeting of the Security Council it was decided that Bulgaria "is in solidarity with Great Britain, but will not expel Russian diplomats from the country".
A few days earlier, in connection with the chemical attack in Salisbury in the UK in Sofia, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Bulgaria to Russia, Boyko Kotsev.
