The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting today, on March 22, announced a warning to Inter and STB TV channels for the broadcast in December 2017. - January 2018. films with actors included in the list of persons who pose a threat to national security. The warning was issued based on the results of the unscheduled inspections conducted in response to the appeal of the Security Service of Ukraine and the citizens of Ukraine.

In particular, the Inter TV channel demonstrated films "Moscow does not believe in tears" with the participation of Oleg Tabakov and "The Irony of Fate, or With a Light Steam!" With Valentina Talyzina.

The STB television channel showed four films: "The Caucasian Captive, or Shurik's New Adventures" with the participation of Natalia Varley, "The Irony of Fate, or With Easy Bath!" With Valentina Talyzina, "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" with Oleg Tabakov and "Love and Pigeons" "with the participation of Alexander Mikhailov.

Defending the position of the TV channels at the meeting of the National Council, their lawyers said that they do not see violations of the norms of the current legislation in the demonstration of these films. They appealed to the law of Ukraine on cinematography, which allows the demonstration of films, if they were produced before 1991.

For their part, the members of the National Council noted that they are guided by the Law of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, which contains a direct norm prohibiting the broadcasting of audiovisual works, one of whose participants is a person included in the List of persons who endanger national security.

Earlier it was reported that the National Council on Television and Radio had scheduled an unscheduled check on Inter TV because of the demonstration of the film "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers".
