According to the politician, the problem of Polish-Jewish relations is too serious to put it on a par with Polish-Ukrainian relations.

Commenting on the cult of Stepan Bandera in Ukraine, Jan Olszewski noted that in Poland the national hero of Ukraine is too demonized.

"Stepan Bandera's crime against the Polish people was in only one. And those who today in Poland with such a desire to talk about banditry, most often this crime is forgotten. And this was the crime that was organized in 1934 attempt on the Minister of Internal Affairs of Colonel Bronislaw Peratsky. In the relevant process, all the perpetrators - including Bandera - were sentenced to death, "said former Prime Minister Jan Olszewski.

The politician added that linking Stepan Bandera to the Volyn crime is a mistake. "After all, the Volyn operation was carried out when Bandera was imprisoned by the Germans," Olshevsky recalled, adding that it was more likely to link Roman Shukhevych with the Volhynian crime, but this issue requires more in-depth studies.

Jan Olszewski believes that such mistakes as the entry of Ukraine into the law on the National Memory Institute of Poland derive from the high ratings of the ruling politicians, overshadowing them the opportunity to rationally think and conduct a real firm policy.

Speaking about the importance of Ukraine for Polish interests, the former Prime Minister noted that if Ukraine lost its independence, the independence of Poland would also be jeopardized.

On February 6, Anjey Duda signed a scandalous law and sent him to the Constitutional Court.
