Ukraine asks the Polish government to restore Ukrainian monuments

According to the minister, the Ukrainian government has already transferred to the Polish side a specific list of eight monuments. Two of the destroyed monuments were legal in Poland, but have not yet been restored.

The Vice Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine asks the Polish side regardless of the status of the monuments to ensure their proper protection or restoration in case of their damage or vandalism.



It is noted that on the territory of Ukraine 95 percent of the Polish monuments are illegal, and in case of destruction of the Polish places of memory, Ukraine conducts appropriate investigative actions.

As previously reported in "URA-Inform", in the very center of Kharkov, a monument to the dead soldiers of the UIA unknown painted in the colors of the Polish flag. According to law enforcers, unknown people painted on the monument to the dead soldiers of the UPA bands of white and red.
