In his words, the Director-General of UNESCO was given an analysis of the problems caused by the annexation of the peninsula. The introduction of direct monitoring by UNESCO should become one of the effective means of international influence on the situation in the Crimea.

Ukraine hopes for further support of efforts to de-occupation of Crimea.

According to the ambassador, the Russian aggression and occupation of Crimea entailed many problems, namely: violation of human rights, illegal arrests, persecution of the Crimean Tatars, suppression of freedom of speech, threats to the objects of cultural heritage of Ukraine on the peninsula. Thus, the Ukrainian government expects to continue to support efforts to de-occupation of the Crimea.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Chaputovich said that Warsaw plans to maintain sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia.
