This is one of the most serious problems in Europe, therefore, if there is even a small opportunity to solve the crisis, Finland should take part in resolving this crisis. This was on Sunday, 188 February, at the Munich conference on security, said the president of this Baltic country Sauli Niiniste.

At the same time, he stressed that the initiative of the former NATO Secretary General Anders Rasmussen, who proposed to participate in the peacekeeping mission to countries that are not members of the Alliance, is permissible. As such states, he named Finland, Sweden and Austria.

It would have been difficult to collect 20,000 peacekeepers from such a small number of countries, but all possible proposals for resolving the Ukrainian crisis should be supported, - summed up Niniste.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, confirmed the readiness to send to Belarus the Belarusian peacekeeping contingent. At the same time, he said, the presidents of Ukraine and Russia must first agree with each other. In particular, Lukashenka noted that if Belarus was commissioned to play some role in the conflict settlement in Ukraine, then it would do everything it needs without taking someone's position.
