This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

It is noted that an instruction has been given to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry to immediately submit to the Government of Ukraine a draft law on the repayment of arrears, which was formed on the wholesale electricity market.

The corresponding document should be verified by the government and sent to the parliament for discussion and subsequent adoption.

Earlier it was reported that the EU project on supporting the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the energy and utilities sectors, in the process of reforming the electricity market.

Within the framework of the project, with the assistance of Slovakia, the parties worked together to introduce free access of third parties to electric grids in Ukraine, improve competition through the unbundling of electricity distribution companies, and also to provide a regulator of consumer protection.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at today's meeting gave its consent to the budget of the Social Insurance Fund. The corresponding decision is posted on the government website.
