Spies from Western countries use lizards capable of "catching atomic waves," to monitor Iran's nuclear program. This is stated by Hasan Firuzabadi, the former chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and now the senior military adviser of the supreme Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Firuzabadi admitted that he did not know the details of the program, recalling that the West regularly uses tourists, scientists and ecologists for espionage purposes, writes The Daily Mail.
The article notes that this statement was made in response to a question from journalists of the local press, alarmed by the increasing arrests of experts in the field of environmental protection.
"A few years ago these people arrived in Iran under the pretext of raising funds for the Palestinians. We found suspicious the routes that they chose, as well as their collections of reptiles - such as, for example, the desert lizards. During the investigation it was discovered that the skin of these animals is capable of accumulating radiation, and we realized that these people are spies gathering information about uranium mines and nuclear facilities, "the authors of the article quote the words of the Iranian general.
These comments were a response to information about the death in Iranian dungeons of Iranian and Canadian citizens Cavus Syed Imami, a well-known environmentalist, who was arrested along with colleagues last month.. co. il.
Recall that in October 2008, members of the Iranian security forces "arrested" two pigeons suspected of espionage for nuclear facilities. Birds were caught near an underground uranium enrichment plant in Natanz.
The press quoted a source claiming that one of the pigeons had discovered a "metal ring with a blue coating and invisible strings". No information on those who "managed" the spies by the birds, the source mentioned, however, did not cite.
