This is reported by The Washington Post.

According to recently received information, the White House intends to stop public funding for the ISS, but it is not going to abandon the orbital station and is developing a plan for its transfer to private ownership.

However, the decision to stop the direct federal support of the ISS in 2025 does not mean that the station itself will be returned from orbit by that time.

In this case, it is expected that in the draft budget for the 2019 fiscal year, which is due to be released on February 12, the Trump administration will request $ 150 million to develop commercial structures and opportunities for securing ISS privatization.

The publication notes, this may be due to the fact that the White House has faced criticism in Congress, since the US spent almost $ 100 billion on the construction and maintenance of the station.

As previously reported, "URA-Inform," the White House banned its employees from using personal mobile phones while working in the West Wing. In particular, where is the administration of US President Donald Trump.
