Putin joined the army of Ossetia to the Russian troops

The corresponding law on Tuesday, February 6, was signed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. According to the press service of the Kremlin, the signed document says in particular that the law ratifies the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on the procedure for the entry of separate units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of South Ossetia into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.



The agreement was signed in Moscow on March 31, 2017, "the Kremlin reminded, adding that the entry is understood as the reception of citizens of the republic for service as part of the Russian fourth guards military base in South Ossetia under a voluntary contract.

Recall that in 2008, after the military aggression of Russia, Georgia lost control over South Ossetia, the latter proclaimed independence. In addition to Russia, it was recognized by Nicaragua, Venezuela and Nauru.

As reported URA-Inform, January 29, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the ratification of the relevant document by the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
