Now countries can deny the right to vote. According to the PAP, today the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs adopted a resolution. 33 members of the committee voted for it.

At the same time, ten.

According to the document, the EP committee "welcomed the Commission's decision of December 20, 2017 to enforce the provisions of Article 7 of the Treaty on the European Union in connection with the situation in Poland and supports the appeal of the Commission to the Polish authorities to resolve the problem".

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the liberal members of the European Parliament initiated a procedure for sanctions against Poland after the country "continues to deviate from the rules of the rule of law and the independence of the court". At the same time, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetski said that the country does not need the consent of the European Union to reform its own legislation.
