During the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, which took place on January 25, the decision was adopted. At the same time, the vote showed Russia's reluctance to ensure effective international control at the border. At the same time, the department is sure that such actions testify to the intention of the Kremlin to continue to supply heavy weapons, military equipment, regular troops, mercenaries, support of terrorist activities on the territory of Ukraine.

We call on Russia to strictly fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements, in particular the provisions of the Minsk Protocol of September 5, 2014 to establish control and continuous monitoring of the OSCE over the temporarily uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian state border, and the creation of a security zone along the border from the side Russia, which is critical for the de-escalation of the situation and peaceful settlement in the Donbass, "the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Recall, as reported by URA-Inform, the OSCE mission on the border works from July 29, 2014. The OSCE last continued the mandate of the observation mission until 31 January 2018.
