The judge at today's meeting decided to refuse to Navalny in an appeal against the decision of the Central Election Commission, which did not register an initiative group of the opposition to nominate him for the presidential candidate of Russia.

According to Russian media, now the defense policy is going to appeal the refusal to admit to the elections to the European Court of Human Rights.

Recall, on December 25, 2017 the Central Election Commission of Russia denied Navalny the registration as a candidate for the presidency. The members of the commission explained their decision by the outstanding conviction of the opposition in the case of "Kirovles".

At the same time, Navalny and his representatives insist that the law on presidential elections contradicts the Constitution of Russia. In this regard, he appealed to the Constitutional Court, but his complaint was rejected.

As reported URA-Inform, presidential elections in Russia will be held in March 2018.
