Ukraine should not enact a new law unless it previously agreed with representatives of the Hungarian national minority. This is stated in the message of the head of the Hungarian diplomatic department Peter Siyarto, published on the website of the Foreign Ministry of the country.

At the same time, he noted that he had few promises, he needed legal guarantees.

At the same time, he once again stated that by adopting the law, Ukraine violated international norms on the protection of national minorities, adding that if Hungary does not receive such guarantees, it reserves the right to block all international initiatives of Ukraine within the framework of the EU and NATO.

Recall, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law, which obliged to teach in Ukrainian in high school from September 1, 2018. Up to high school you can get education in the language of national minorities.

As reported URA-Inform, Hungary in response began to threaten sanctions and announced an action under the slogan "self-determination for Transcarpathia".
