US delivered to Georgia anti-tank missile systems Javelin. This was stated by Defense Minister of Georgia Levan Izoria during a meeting with US Ambassador Jan Kelly, Novosti-Georgia reported.

Thus, according to the Minister, the first stage of the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missile systems was completed successfully.

"The first stage ended successfully.

The Javelin system in Georgia is in a safe place, and we will soon begin preparations to ensure that our military are able to acquire those skills that are mandatory for the use of this system, "said Izoriya.

A year ago, in February 2017, it was announced that within the frameworks of the US framework agreement, a training center will be built in Georgia on the analogue of the Hohenfels base in Germany. The center will be located in the village of Vaziani (near Tbilisi). Earlier in November 2017, it became known that the US will allocate more than $ 100 million to Georgia to increase defensive capabilities.
