It is noteworthy that the checklist will be based on the communication of stakeholders and will help inform consumers who buy products in these markets. In this case, it will encourage operators and business owners to deal with violations of intellectual property rights.
According to the Office of Intellectual Property, the trade in counterfeit and pirated products in the world is about 338 billion euros. The EU is suffering particularly heavy losses from it.
Opinions and proposals for public consultations are accepted until March 31.
