France and Germany agreed to strengthen cooperation

Recently, the leaders of the states of France and Germany Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel held a joint meeting timed to the anniversary of the signing of the Elysee Treaty on Mutually Beneficial Cooperation. Berlin and Paris plan to strengthen cooperation in defense and security, economy, technology exchange, social transformation, tourism business and freedom of speech and media in the countries.



Both leaders also plan to coordinate their positions on the foreign policy of the Western region. In particular, they will raise the issue of Ukraine.

At the same time, it is primarily about moving forward towards a more prosperous and competitive, sovereign, united and democratic Europe.

As reported in "URA-Inform," the leaders of Germany and France recently announced that they are ready to take joint decisions for the reform of the European Union.
