The priority directions of the defense order this year will be the provision of the Armed Forces with modern missile and armored vehicles, electronic warfare, air defense, unmanned aerial systems and anti-sniper systems.
As the press service of the National Security and Defense Council informs, the order is based on the financial resource defined in the State Budget of Ukraine for this year, as well as on the indicators of the next two years provided for by the Main Directions of the Budget Policy for 2018-2020.
According to NSDCU Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, the Ukrainian defense industry is already able to ensure the implementation of complex and large-scale programs and this year it is planned to increase the financing of the State Defense Order to the level of 21.3 billion hryvnia, which is 37% more than in 2017.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, today the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine on Wednesday, January 17, at a meeting supported the draft law "On National Security of Ukraine".
