At the same time, Prime Minister Andrei Babish, who was confirmed in his post on December 13, 2017 and heading the minority government, was supported only by 78 deputies. At the same time, 116 deputies voted against, and six - abstained.
As reported by DW, the issue of confidence was put to the vote in parliament on the initiative of Babish himself and was one of the requirements of the Czech constitution.
According to the document, each newly appointed government must, within the first thirty days, raise the issue of trusting itself.
Nevertheless, earlier the president of the country Milosh Zeman announced that he would give Babysh a second attempt to win a majority in the parliament.
Recall, the police of the Czech Republic accuse Babish of the fact that a few years ago he fraudulently received subsidies from the European Union for his resort "The Nest of the Stork" south of Prague. The politician himself rejects all accusations.
As reported URA-Inform, Andrei Babish said that he would appeal to the deputies of the Czech Parliament with a request to remove his immunity from him so that he was investigated.
