It is also known that the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law "On audit of financial reporting and audit activities" (No. 6016-d), which brings Ukrainian legislation in line with EU standards, on December 21 last year. However, for unknown reasons, he has not yet entered into force.

In this regard, the EU was reminded that the introduction of European and international standards in the field of audit and supervision of the audit profession is part of Ukraine's obligations in the context of the Association Agreement with the European Union.

"We hope that the draft law No. 6016-d" On Auditing Financial Reporting and Audit Activities "will come into force in the near future, and a new regulatory system for auditing will be implemented faster," added the EU.
