First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Service Vasily Servatyuk said that the Russian side responds with provocative actions to introduce biometric control of Ukraine.
"As we expected, during the holidays there were provocative actions against our citizens by the Russian Federation in connection with the introduction of biometric control.
Only during today's day the Russian side refused to skip 18 of our vehicles, without drawing up relevant documents and explaining the reasons, "said Vasily Servatyuk.
He noted that the SBS expects even more provocations from the aggressor country, so the checkpoints are strengthened with equipment and personnel.
The first deputy chairman of the SBSU noted that since the beginning of the year, 29,000 foreigners have passed the biometric control, of which 24,000 Russians.
Vasily Servatyuk noted that only for the last three days the border guards recorded 48 operations on the Interpol databases.
