It is planned that by mid-January in general will arrive more than 250 French soldiers who join the Combat Battalion Battalion Forward Forces of NATO in Lithuania.

As noted in the department, the French military will form one from the maneuvering mouth of the battalion. They will also serve in combat support units, at the headquarters of the combat group.

The French will deliver to Lithuania the main tanks Leclerc and BMP VBCI. The official inauguration ceremony of the new contingent is planned for the end of January.

After the arrival of the French military in the NATO International Battalion, more than 1,200 people will serve in Lithuania.

This division is commanded by the German military, it also serves Belgians, Croats, Luxembourgers, Dutch and Norwegians.
