Such a decision the court adopted on the demand of a group of deputies from the ruling coalition. It is due to the fact that last week Dodon repeatedly rejected the candidatures of five ministers and two vice-premiers proposed by the prime minister.
All the same, according to the law of the country, the president has the right to reject nominations only once.
In this connection, at the end of December, the deputies from the ruling coalition appealed to the Constitutional Court on behalf of the commission of the parliament on legal issues, appointments and immunities with a request in which they asked "to establish the circumstances under which it is necessary to temporarily fulfill the duties of the president by the chairman of the parliament or prime minister".
As previously reported in URA-Inform, the inclusion in the Constitution of Moldova of the goal of European integration by the Constitutional Court of the country is a violation of "political pluralism" and "imposition of ideology".
