This is reported by the local newspaper El Mundo.

It is noted that the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba voted in favor of extending its mandate for another two months. Thus, Castro will leave his post in April, and not in February, as planned earlier.

Castro in recent years ruled the country due to poor health and the subsequent death of his brother Fidel Castro.

Earlier, he repeatedly claimed that he did not plan to run for a third term. The media call it the likely successor of 52-year-old Miguel Diaz-Canel. The latter held the post of Minister of Education of Cuba, and before that was headed by one of the regional committees of the Communist Party.

As previously reported, "URA-Inform", in Moldova, the referendum on the resignation of the Mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, was declared invalid. This decision was made in connection with the low appearance of citizens.
