To resolve the conflict in the Donbass, one has to get used to such a word as "compromise". This was said by the representative of Ukraine in the tripartite contact group in Minsk Evgeny Marchuk in an interview to the Public Television of Donbass.

"There is no need to wait for a single-line and simple solution. ) Even have to get used to such a word as "compromise". But there is a red line, where there can not be any compromises - the border, the state, the structure and so on.

And there are such pieces where compromises are needed, especially transitional periods, transitional temporary administrations, perhaps even with the participation of the UN or OSCE, or transitional front lines with the participation of people from that territory, another regime can be temporarily created, "explained Marchuk.

According to him, world experience says that it is impossible to solve the conflict ideally. Moreover, Russia is "a very experienced machine, devilishly strong" with tools and military force.

In the world there were more than 220 such military conflicts only after World War II. 60 of them were studied. Marchuk believes that the most suitable option for Ukraine is Northern Ireland.
