He was led by a billionaire, former Finance Minister Andrei Babish. According to Ceske Noviny, among the 14 government ministers, five worked in the government of Boguslava Sobotka.

Thus, three Ministers - the environment, justice and transport - retained their posts in the new government.

Former Defense Minister Martin Strypnitsky headed the Foreign Ministry, and former Minister of Development Karl Shlehtov became Minister of Defense.

Nine ministers are new to the government.

Today, at the residence of the Czech president, the ministers will hold their first meeting.



However, within a month the Czech parliament must vote for a vote of confidence in the new government. In this connection, next week Babish will begin consultations with political parties to support his government.

At the same time, at the moment most parties are not inclined to support it.
