Dear defenders!.
On behalf of the Government and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on the Day of the Land Forces of Ukraine!.
The land forces are the most numerous type of the Armed Forces and play an important and leading role in ensuring the defense capacity of our country. The Land Troops are assigned particularly high-risk tasks in the area of ??the antiterrorist operation, they are the main burden in confronting the enemy and defending the Ukrainian territory. The servicemen of the Ground Forces, which conduct combat operations on land, are the main strike force of the Armed Forces and, consequently, the face of the modern Ukrainian army, continue its worthy and majestic history. Therefore, the financing of the Armed Forces is one of the priorities for the Government. Already in 2020, the Ukrainian army must fully achieve the basic standards of NATO and meet the criteria for membership in the Alliance. First of all, such reforms and modernization concern the Ground Forces, which will provide Ukraine with reliable protection of the best world level.
It is pleasant to note that, based on the Ground Forces, a modern model of the Armed Forces is being created before our very eyes - highly effective, optimal in number, mobile, well armed, capable of performing tasks in any conditions. In the matter of the development of our army, we have achieved significant successes. The ground forces are the "tough nut" that is the guarantor of the security of our country, this is a quality administrative and logistic combination of missile forces and artillery, aviation and air defense, mechanized and tank divisions, special troops and the system of engineering and logistics support.
I express my gratitude to all servicemen of the Ground Forces for their honest service, worthy accomplishment of the military duty, loyalty to the Motherland, high professionalism in military affairs, courage and bravery shown in the battles with the enemy.
