The fighting in Syria continues, and civilians suffer from attacks. Therefore, at the moment there is no reason to agree that the war in Syria has come to an end, and the situation may soon normalize.

This opinion on Monday, December 11, said the European Union's top representative for foreign policy and security policy Federica Magerini. According to her, in this regard, the European Union says that the only way for the peace process in Syria is the talks in Geneva, which are held under the patronage of the United Nations.

Only after reaching an agreement in Geneva, the European Union will be ready to provide the promised financial resources for the restoration of Syria, she assured. Earlier it was reported that in Syria for several years of civil war nearly 25 thousand women were killed.

Most of them were killed as a result of the actions of the government army.

As reported URA-Inform, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, December 11, first arrived in Syria. There he instructed the Russian Ministry of Defense to begin the withdrawal of the Russian grouping of troops from Syria. Speaking before the military, he, in particular, said that the department should begin preparations for the withdrawal of the Russian troops to their permanent deployment points.
