Representatives of Muslim countries are sure that by such actions Washington loses its political and economic interests in the Middle East, and that the decision of the American president essentially means recognition of Israel's occupation of Jerusalem, which took place back in 1967 during the Six-Day War.
League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said that the entire Muslim community sharply condemns the act of the US president, but asks him to change his mind and adopt a compromise solution.
The foreign ministers also noted that such recognition is a direct violation of international agreements on the part of Washington.
As reported in "URA-Inform," recently US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson rejected information that the US embassy will be immediately moved from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
