This was reported by the press service of the President of Ukraine.

Today, the Ukrainian president not only met with leading Lithuanian politicians, but also managed to hold a working meeting with the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktoras Pranzetis. Politicians have confirmed their intentions to begin the process of strengthening the sanctions regime around Moscow, as the situation in the east of Ukraine has recently become more complicated.

The Lithuanian speaker is sure that new sanctions should be taken against the Kremlin, and the old ones should continue to strengthen.

It is noteworthy that this week Washington also said that it is necessary to impose sanctions on the part of the military Alliance against the Russian Federation and to stop any military cooperation with Moscow.

As reported in "URA-Inform", recently Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin asked the EU to increase pressure on the Russian Federation through sanctions.
