Such data became known from the NATO report, the "Voice of America".

The report identifies 20 global trends that could affect the Alliance until the end of 2035 - from artificial intelligence and accelerating technology development to climate change and growing gender inequality.

As NATO's Supreme Commander-in-Chief Denis Mercier said, the report shows that the risk of an interstate war is greater than in the 2013 NATO report.

It is noted that in the spring his team will make public an additional report that will contain information about what NATO should do to respond to these trends.

Thus, the report says that defense spending began to grow after the annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea by Russia in 2014, and forecasts envisage a further increase until 2045. The authors also warn that the increase in expenses "may start an arms race, as it was during the Cold War".

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the head of NATO, Jens Stoltenber, regards Pyongyang's nuclear potential as a global threat to the world community. The Secretary General believes that the continuation of the nuclear development of nuclear weapons by the DPRK is a spit in the activities of the United Nations Security Council.
