Will, and with what rights the Russian delegation again participate in the sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, should the Russian delegation or the PACE, consisting of the deputies of the member countries of the Council of Europe. Such an opinion on Tuesday morning, November 28, expressed in its official statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

According to DW, the Foreign Ministry considers the Council of Europe "irreplaceable" as the "custodian" of the European Convention on Human Rights and "more than 200 other conventions whose observance is controlled by the European Court of Human Rights". This is an important international factor advocating for human rights, democracy and the rule of law, which is designed to support and strengthen the dialogue of the 47 participating countries on these and other topics, the German Foreign Ministry.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Council of Europe is considering the lifting of sanctions against Russia, which were imposed on it for aggression against Ukraine.

They fear that Russia, in connection with the restrictions, can withdraw from this organization, and this, in their opinion, could be a blow to the protection of human rights in the world.

As Secretary General of the organization Thorbjorn Jagland stated on Sunday, November 26, Moscow now requires the restoration of the right to vote at the CE Parliamentary Assembly, which oversees the European Court of Human Rights, as well as compliance with the 1949 Human Rights Convention.
