Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill according to which victims of the Revolution of dignity are granted the status of a participant in hostilities.
For the corresponding decision voted 241 people's deputy.
According to the document, the status of the combatant is granted to persons who are included in the list of those who received physical injuries (heavy, medium, light) during the Revolution and applied for medical assistance from November 21, 2013, April 30, 2014.
At the same time, provision is not made for the status of a participant in hostilities to law enforcement officers, servicemen of internal forces and persons who served in law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces who were injured in the course of their official duties during this period.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, just during the events of the Revolution, 2,500 people were injured, 104 of them were killed.
