The Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday will consider in the first reading the draft law on the state budget for 2018, said the chairman of the Ukrainian parliament Andrei Parubiy.

"The consideration of the budget will be the most important issue this week," he said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of faction leaders, committees and parliamentary groups on Monday in Kiev.

Parubius noted that in the draft state budget for the next year, as well as in the state budgets of previous years, the priority is the issue of security and defense.

"I hope that we can unite around the adoption in the first reading of the budget of Ukraine," - said the speaker.
