The signing took place in Montreal within the framework of the Canadian-Ukrainian round table on cooperation in the aerospace sphere, in the presence of Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The memorandum testifies to the interest of the space agencies of Ukraine and Canada in cooperation.

According to the president of the Canadian Space Agency Silvana Lyaporta, the space agency of Canada "are very pleased to sign this Memorandum, which aims to facilitate cooperation between our countries for the peaceful use and exploration of outer space".

This document is the first step, to a multitude of opportunities to use space research for the development of friendship between countries.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan and the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction of Poland Andrzej Adamchik signed a Memorandum of Understanding on further cooperation within the framework of the Via Carpatia project.
