The command of the armored control of the APU tries to hide the machinations with the tank engines, which led to a sudden breakdown of 35 T-64 tanks. About this in his blog wrote an expert on National Security Taras Zhovtenko:.

Recently, on one of the TV channels, I saw a story about problems with fuel supplies for the Defense Ministry. In it journalist Yuri Butusov casually mentioned that recently because of low-quality fuel and lubricants the alarm-raised tank battalion stopped. This is a serious crime! Dozens of tanks went down in the warring country, and this is said between the case. The guilty must answer with all the rigor of the law! But where is the scandal and media attention! ?.

I began to find out the details through my channels in the army. It turned out that in September at the range of the 17th Panzer Brigade of the Armed Forces under Melitopol, 35 tanks of the T-64. After several hours of work in the field, the machines were dramatically lost in power, some died out and could only be started from the tug. First, the engines of 21 cars refused, and another 14 they failed for the next few days. At the same time, according to the armored service of the operational command "Shchid", new engines were installed on the tanks, which worked for 3-4 hours. Therefore, military sin on low-quality fuel and fuel.

Apparently, the journalist spoke about this incident. But why the Ministry of Defense is silent! ? It turned out that the top leadership of the APU armored control has no serious motives for silence.

After the mass withdrawal of tanks, naturally, they began to search for the cause. A special commission was created from the engineers of the Kharkov Design Bureau for Engine Building (KKDB), the plant. Malyshev, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and others. She was brought to the expertise in Kharkov for three faulty engines, which were removed from the tanks of the 17th Brigade as "evidence".

The commission dismantled the engines and came to a disappointing conclusion for the military - fuel, which wanted to hang all the dogs, met the standards, and the cause of engine failure was not at all in lubrication. It's not strange - T-64 engines were installed 5TDFA engines, which are the "descendants" of Junkers aircraft engines and are able to travel 50 km without oil at all.

Further more! The engines, which according to the assurances of tank command were new, in some places were worn almost completely. Having disassembled "evidence", the commission found considerable dust wear of parts, corrosion of metal and other evidence of "long service" of motors. For example, valve rings were erased almost 100%. And in the waste oil that was drained from the crankcase, laboratory tests revealed a significant amount of dirt and metal, as well as fuel impurities that got there during the engine operation. With a new engine, this could not happen for either 4 or 40 hours.

It turned out that the army officials simply lied, calling the broken engines new. Their real age, in order to pinpoint the causes of the breakdown, the military has never been informed. The commission came to an unequivocal opinion - tank engines were damaged as a result of a violation of the order of their storage and re-entry.

And the conclusions were made on the basis of the results of the examination of only two engines. Disassemble the third "evidence" prevented a letter from the leadership of the APU armored control. Major-General Yuri Melnik ordered to finish the work of the commission and not to carry out an examination of the third engine.

For General Miller, let me remind you, this is not the first "dark" history with second-hand engines. In July of this year, he was detained by the detectives of the National Olympic Committee together with the leaders of the Lviv armored factory. Then the general was charged with buying former used and often non-working tank engines under the guise of new ones, which led to the embezzlement of budget funds.

In 2015, instead of new engines for T-72 tanks, Melnik together with accomplices bought used motors. Moreover, in 2008-2009 these same engines, including non-operating ones, were sold as surplus property of the Defense Ministry. Over the years of storage, they rusted, were clogged with dirt and dust, but this did not stop the dealers from the Defense Ministry from buying them as new. The engines of the 2nd category were given for engines of the 1st category, which led to an overestimate of the cost and caused damage to the state of almost UAH 30 million. At the same time, the money transferred under the transaction went to the accounts of a number of small private enterprises.

It seems now we have witnessed the consequences of the next scam of General Miller with tank engines - again under the guise of new engines trying to "vparit" junk. That is why the Ministry of Defense does not hasten to publicize the incident in Melitopol. Therefore, in the armored control of the APU they try to hide the tracks and shift responsibility for the failure of 35 tanks to fuel and fuel suppliers.

In the summer Yuri Melnik managed to escape responsibility.

For his fraud for 30 million USD, he spent 10 days in the remand prison, and after the guarantee of people's deputies was released. Now the situation may recur. To prevent this from happening, journalists need attention and general publicity. Only the resonance and interference of the Security Service and the National Security Service can stop the embezzlement of the army by the officials themselves from the Ministry of Defense. In a warring country - this is a particularly serious crime.
