Official data confirmed that the Conservative bloc comprising the Christian Social Union and the Christian Democratic Union, whose electoral list is headed by Chancellor Angela Merkel, has won. Thus, the preliminary official results of voting on the results of processing all the ballots, published on Monday night, September 25, established that the CDU / CSU Block supported 33% of voters.
For the Social Democratic Party of Germany, headed by Martin Schultz, 20.5% of voters voted.
At the same time, both parties noticeably lost the number of their voters in comparison with the results of the elections in 2013. Then the conservatives gained 41.5%, the SPD - 25.7%.
At the same time, the Social Democrats, who showed the worst result in their history, have already announced their withdrawal to the opposition.
In third place was the right-populist alternative for Germany with 12.6% of the vote. It was her first visit to the Bundestag.
It is followed by the liberal Free Democratic Party of Germany - c 10.7%, the Left Party - 9.2% and the Union-90 / Greens - 8.9%.
The other parties did not get the five percent required for passage to parliament.
Final results of the voting will be officially announced approximately a week after the elections.
