Deputies of the Parliament of Moldova from the Liberal Party began collecting signatures under the bill on the beginning of the procedure for the removal from office of President Igor Dodon.

According to the parliamentary regulations, for registration of the draft law with its subsequent consideration at the meeting of the parliament, necessary signatures of 34 deputies from 101st, Ukrinform reports..

As the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu noted, the bill is sent to all parliamentary factions, with the exception of the faction of the Socialist Party.

The motive for announcing to the president of impeachment, according to Ghimpu, was, first of all, the refusal of the head of state to send the Moldovan military to the international military exercises. The leader of the liberals also stressed that "President Igor Dodon continues to promote the interests of Russia in Moldova".
